Hi! I’m Sydyney Wetterstrom. Volleyball has always been a huge part of my life because I love how challenging it is. To me, it’s like solving a puzzle—I enjoy figuring out the best strategies to win a match.

If I could talk to my younger self, I’d tell Lil Syd to be patient. There’s no need to rush through recruitment. Instead, take the time to explore different teams, academic programs, and cities—you’ll learn so much along the way.

I became a mentor because I want to give back to the next generation. Volleyball has taught me so much, and I’m truly grateful for the journey. My goal is to help others have a positive recruiting experience and reach their goals.

I’m here to help mentees build confidence during their recruitment journey by highlighting their strengths and encouraging them to advocate for themselves—so they can make the best decisions for their future.

Oh, and here’s a fun fact about me—I’ve ridden in a hot air balloon!
